CRAICLY says no to loneliness.
But…we can only tackle it together.
Hello You!
CRAICLY sessions are a lot of fun and very focused on social interactions that celebrate the places we are in, with the people we share them with. There is more to it than just that though.
You may or not be aware but we are in the midst of a growing, global loneliness epidemic. For some people, we are talking crippling loneliness preventing them from living anything close to a happy life.
There are multiple ongoing global studies, committees, focus groups, government policy planners and health forums trying to fully diagnose the problem - and the potential solutions. In 2018, the UK government appointed the world’s first Minister for Loneliness. Government leaders are concerned due to the links between loneliness and serious (very expensive for the government serious) escalating health issues including premature mortality, mental health decline, depression, physical deterioration, behavioural issues, stress and multiple other tangible health issues requiring significant medical supports and interventions.
My own professional background highlighted this issue through my engagements in people, community and talent management. In recent years, you couldn’t but observe the dramatic increase of people - from multiple age and socio-economic groups - all suffering from a rise in social isolation and loneliness. Quite honestly - I felt it was one of the saddest, crippling realities I’d ever encountered, especially when I researched the full scale of the situation.
And I said no. Nope. No way. This has be tackled immediately. This is actually one we can begin to take on together without waiting for a government policy on it. ( That is definitely needed too, and will have a crucial impact where handled well).
So CRAICLY was born to take our first steps into this important space. We are experienced enough to be comfortable taking on behavioural change. We have coached and mentored and listened and understand the crucial impact of small, initially invisible changes that lead to glorious impacts.
Sharing stories starts social ripples.
The humble story has kickstarted wars and revolutions, whilst also being gentle enough to soothe and comfort tired babies. Stories keep us together.
CRAICLY has large, ambitious aims to have an impact and will take each step on this journey with positive, social engagement celebrating the people and places around us that we simply cannot afford to lose touch with. We all have much to look forward to together.
But this is most certainly one that cannot be done alone!!!
Looking forward to meeting you all. C’mon Ireland.
